8-Day tour starting on the 3rd Saturday in June


DAY 1: all riders meet at Malaga airport at 16:00 hours – a guide will be at the arrivals lobby with a sign. You will be transported with your bike to Los Olivos Cycling & Triathlon Training Camp to settle into your room, put your bike together or have it done in a shop in town for €17. Since the sun sets on average at around 9 PM from May to September, there is the option to go on a warmup ride of 36 to 50 kilometers; this is a popular option and will allow you to loosen your legs after sitting on a plane or in a car for hours. There will be a briefing after dinner.

Day 2 - 1st Ride

Breakfast is at 07:30 AM with everyone ready to leave at 09:00 AM. We will ride through Alcala la Real East passing one of our open- water swimming spots, Embalse de Colomera, on our right. Will then veer South over Puerto Zegri before turning East again towards Iznalloz. We will continue on reaching Purullena where we will dine and spend the night.

Day 3 - 2nd Ride

Breakfast at 07:30 AM and ready to ride at 09:00 AM. We will now be aiming to climb “Puerto de la Ragua”, a beautiful road in a popular ski destination. From here we descend along the back of Sierra Nevada to spend the night at Mecina de Bombaron in the Alpujarras. You will have time to look around the town.

Day 4 - 3rd Ride

Breakfast and to your bikes. This ride will take us through the Alpujarras ending in Orgiva where we will spend the night.

Day 5 - 4th Ride

Breakfast and get on your bikes to continue making our way towards Sierra Nevada stopping in Atalaya del Durcal where we will be picked up by our van and transported to Monachil to dine and spend the night.

Day 6 - 5th Ride

Breakfast and we leave the hotel and begin our quest to conquer Sierra Nevada from this side of the mountain. Climbing from Monachil is one of the classic climbs in La Vuelta a España; this route will take us over Puerto el Purche. We will have a coffee break at the Hoya de la Mora before descending to Pinos Genil to dine, spend the night and have breakfast in the morning before the last ride of this tour.

Day 7 - 6th / option 1

If you chose this option, you will be transported to the next starting point Embalse Cubillas to make your way to our base camp Los Olivos CTTC. This night will be your last night with us and a small celebration will be held with paella dinner and drinks.

Day 7 - 6th / option 2

If you chose this option, our van will take you to our base camp where you can start this ride.  We recommend this ride for the simple fact that although it is hard it guarantees unforgettable memories. We start and finish at Los Olivos CTTC. This night will be your last night with us and a small celebration will be held with paella dinner and drinks.

: 106 km

Ascent: 3100m (29.3 m per km)

Day 8 - End of Tour

Final breakfast together at base camp and then we will transport you to the airport for departure.

You have done 11,781 or 13,469 mts of climbing in 462 or 505 kms of riding – CONGRATULATIONS!

Tour Details

Price for this Tour is: €980 per rider room sharing inclusive of VAT – booking deposit is €300. The booking deposit is 95% refundable if canceled not later than 5 days after reservation and deposit have been made. Full payment to be made within 10 days of booking. No refunds upon cancellation after full payment has been made, however, if you are not able to come after having paid in full, don’t worry, your place will be saved for you for one year.

Minimum of 4 cyclists and a maximum of 8; 60 days in advance!



Malaga airport transport with your bikes, all dinners and all breakfasts, support vehicle with tools, water, fruit and gels, road and GPS information.


Cyclists must have medical and personal accident insurance that includes cover for sports activities – must include road cycling and/or mountain biking, and repatriation to home country.


Recommended gear ratio: compact or semi-compact with 11-28 cassette.


Flights, bike, lunch, personal travel insurance, shoes, helmet, clothing.


There are many good bike shops in the area that can supply spare parts, however, we suggest that you bring with you any spare part you think is special to your bike and that may prove difficult to obtain quickly in any standard bike shop.


Bike hire upon availability: we always have 2 Scott CR1 size 52 with Dura Ace triple.
